Windows is on a new kick making things easier for the average jo
shmo. Unfortunately, it took me a while to get used to the way they
have arranged everything. Everything is pretty much available in
the big flashy icons provided by windows. To add anything or make a
few word tweaks, you can click on the big circle with the windows
logon on the left hand side and if you look towards the bottom of
the menu, you will see a word options button.
I'll check out the word options l8r today - thanks, I'm slowly
running in my Vista machine as it slows down productivity! I'm not
stupied, but neither do I have the time to search for familier
'stuff'. The big flashy icons are a p.a.t.a. and I know that I can
change it but ... Most of what I regularly use is hidden and it's
taking some time to assemble them in one place. I'll get ther in
the end. Thanks for the advice.
Ya no prob. It took me a while to get used to the feel of 2008
and still finding things here and there I could do without. So you
know of a way to change it back to the old menu? Please let me
know, because I would love to change it back to the way it once was
lol.
Apparently there is a way but I'm not sure what it is. I think I
will end up assembling my own 'custom' tool bar the way I always
did (in the quick access [whatever it's called] toolbar) and will
then delete/hide the ribbon - which takes up too much page
anyway.
